When creating these works, I wanted the viewer to be immersed in the image and to draw their own conclusions, rather than having the conclusions drawn for them. I found inspiration in shadows and sunlight filtering through the trees. I started with drawings in oil pastel on drawing paper and layered them with transparencies that I applied black watercolor onto, creating a layered, reflective surface.
